Looking beyond functionality, innovation, and aesthetics, touch plays an important role in textile design; it is an essential quality. The rug concept TOUCH is based on the feeling of Geborgenheit, a german word for a feeling of security that doesn‘t have an english equivalent. The woven pleats create a surface that invites the user to touch, feel, and sense. Between the wavelike-shaped pleats are surprising details incorporated which become visible by pulling the pleats apart.
